Studio Specifications
The Low Studios is fully equipped for writing, recording and mixing, with a setup designed to help sessions run smoothly and get the most out of your recordings.
🎧 Monitoring & Headphones
• Adam A5X monitors with Adam Sub 8 subwoofer (2.1 system).
• Beyerdynamic headphones: 3 × DT770 Pro and 1 × DT990 Pro, all 250Ω.
• 2 × Behringer HA400 headphone amplifiers, providing flexible headphone monitoring throughout the room.
• Mix A provides four dedicated headphone positions across the desk, vocal, sofa and drum areas. Mix B can be configured as an independent second cue mix anywhere in the room.
🧱 Acoustics
• Professional acoustic treatment by GIK Acoustics, including corner bass traps, deep absorption behind the monitors and broadband treatment throughout the room.
• The room has a dry, controlled sound with minimal natural ambience, making it well suited to close-miked vocals, instruments and drums while leaving plenty of flexibility to shape the space with processing. This also makes the room great for producing, and mixing in.

• UAD recording system (Apollo Twin Duo & Quad Satellite).
• Behringer ADA8200 expansion via ADAT (up to 10 inputs).
• SSL 2 audio interface for plug-and-play sessions.
🥁 Drums & Percussion
• Tama Club Jam four-piece drum kit with upgraded toms: 18” × 12” kick, 13” × 5” snare, 12” × 8” rack tom and 14” × 14” floor tom. 10” × 7” rack tom also available for a two-up, one-down setup on request.
• In-house cymbal set: V-Classic Super Dry 14” hi-hats, Meinl Byzance 20” ride, Istanbul Agop 19” Xist crash, and custom 9”/11”/13” clap stack fitted with a BFSD Bling Ring.
• Repaired character cymbals for alternative recording sounds: Zildjian 22” K Light Ride, Zildjian 20” K Custom ride with three rivets, vintage American ride, Zildjian 20” A Medium Thin Crash and 1970s Zildjian New Beat hi-hats (intact bottom/repaired top).
• Sturdy drum hardware including 2 × straight cymbal stands, 1 × boom cymbal stand, hi-hat stand, snare stand, Tama Iron Cobra kick pedal and drum throne.
• Selection of percussion including caxixi shaker, Meinl Sonic Energy bendo shaker, Meinl Cymbal Bacon sizzle chain, and small and large cowbells.
• Damping options including 13” BFSD head, tea towels, moon gels and gaffer tape + tissue.

Please note: The studio is acoustically treated but not fully sound-isolated, so some occasional sound transfer between neighbouring studios is possible. This is generally minimal and manageable during normal sessions.
